The Roland TD-02KV is a complete electronic drum kit designed to feel like an acoustic kit while staying quiet enough for apartments and tight rehearsal spaces. With a mesh snare, responsive pads and built-in practice tools, it works well for beginners and returning drummers alike.

Playing feel

The PDX-8 snare pad has a tunable mesh head and a rim trigger that lets you play cross-stick and rimshot techniques – something that's hard to practise on a basic rubber pad. The tom pads (3 × PD-4, mono) and the hi-hat, crash and ride cymbal pads respond naturally to your playing and include a choke function, letting you mute the cymbal sound just like on an acoustic cymbal.

Quiet and space-saving

The KT-1 kick trigger and FD-1 hi-hat controller are built to cut down on noise that would otherwise travel through the floor to neighbours or other rooms, making this kit a solid choice for evening practice at home. The four-post MDS-LITE rack gives a stable, acoustic-style playing position while taking up roughly 120 × 80 cm of floor space.

Smart module

The TD-02 module comes with 16 built-in drum kits, a metronome, and five coach modes – including Time Check and Quiet Count – that help you train timing and dynamics. Use the aux input (3.5 mm) to play along with music from your phone, or add an optional Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) for wireless audio. The USB-B connection lets you hook the kit up to a computer for recording or music software.

Room to grow

The starter setup includes a kick pedal and hi-hat pedal, three tom pads and three cymbals (hi-hat, crash, ride) – enough to get playing right away. When you're ready to expand, Roland accessories such as extra pads, a Bluetooth adapter, monitor speakers or a pad mat let the kit grow alongside your playing.
