Product Description
The T1-Pair is a factory matched pair of large-diaphragm cardioid true-condenser microphones from sE Electronics, built around the same handcrafted titanium-sputtered 1" capsule found in the renowned T2. With a precise cardioid pattern, a rugged all-metal housing, and built-in attenuation and low-cut filters, the T1 is a dependable choice for studio and stage alike, especially as a matched overhead pair on drums or for spot-miking percussion.
Capsule and sound character
Each microphone features a handcrafted 1" true-condenser capsule with a titanium-sputtered brass diaphragm. The same capsule used in the sE Electronics T2. Titanium is roughly 33% stiffer and more than 300% lighter than gold, giving the T1 a faster transient response. That makes it especially strong on fast-attack sources such as drums, cymbals, hand percussion, and upright bass. Every capsule is handcrafted and individually tuned in sE Electronics' own factory.
Build
The housing is a dent-proof, die-cast all-metal construction with metal switches and a rugged spring steel wire mesh grille, finished to a premium standard. The T1 is roadworthy enough for daily touring use and years of demanding studio work.
Attenuation and filtering
A built-in attenuation pad and a switchable low-cut filter let the T1 handle loud sources and tame excessive low-frequency rumble or proximity effect, giving you the dynamic range and roll-off needed to dial in your sound at the source.
