Product Description
The sE8 Omni is sE Electronics' omnidirectional take on the acclaimed sE8 pencil condenser series. It shares the same sophisticated capsule and backplate design as the cardioid version, delivering an authentic and transparent sound quality. With very low noise and high SPL handling, it's a great choice for recording orchestras, ensembles and choirs, and works equally well on solo instruments, vocals and percussion.

The Quietest Pencil Mic in its Class
A sophisticated electronic design provides extremely low noise without the use of integrated circuits. The transformerless design ensures excellent transparency and clarity, while a proven Class-A circuit delivers a high dynamic range without distortion and a brilliant transient response.
Two Switchable Pre-Attenuation Pads and Low-Cut Filters
The -10dB and -20dB switchable attenuation pads prevent overloading your preamp or mixer and provide extended dynamic range for close-mic techniques on loud sources like brass instruments, timpani and drums. Two switchable low-cut filters at 80Hz or 160Hz help eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise, and help compensate for proximity effect during close-mic recording.
Build and Accessories
The all-metal chassis with gold-plated XLR connector rejects electrical interference and ensures a loss-free, reliable connection. Each mic ships with a newly-designed mic clip. As a factory-matched pair, every sE8 Omni is hand-selected from hundreds of individual microphones for identical performance and mic-to-mic consistency, giving a clear and accurate stereo image. The matched pair comes complete with a precision stereo mounting bar, two protective wind screens, two mic clips, and a robust high-quality metal flight case.
