Product Description
The sE7 sideFire is a variant of sE Electronics' small-diaphragm condenser microphone sE7, built with a capsule rotated 90 degrees to allow miking of tight spaces. Discrete class-A circuitry and a transformerless output deliver a clear, natural sound across a wide range of sources, from acoustic guitars and choirs to orchestral instruments, drums, percussion and cymbals.
Flexible sound capture
The cardioid polar pattern captures sound from the front while rejecting unwanted sound from the sides, giving good separation and control in the mix. The rotated capsule lets you position the microphone close to other instruments or in spaces where a standard mic body wouldn't fit.
Switchable onboard features add flexibility for demanding recordings: a -20 dB attenuation pad for high sound pressure levels, and an 80 Hz, 6 dB/octave low-cut filter to remove unwanted low-end noise.
