Product Description

The sE2300 is the multi-pattern evolution of the award-winning 2200 condenser microphone that put sE Electronics on the map, prized for its smooth, polished sound on vocals, voiceovers and countless instruments. The three switchable polar patterns make it even more versatile than the original.

Build

Every capsule is hand-crafted and individually tuned in sE's own factory in Shanghai. Unlike microphones with backplate or electret designs, the sE2300 features a true externally polarized 1" condenser capsule, giving it the best possible performance in every aspect. The signal path is short and optimized, the circuit relies on carefully selected discrete components with no ICs, and surface-mounted electronics with extremely tight tolerances deliver low noise, high sensitivity and consistent performance.

Versatility

A 3-position pattern switch on the rear lets you choose between omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-eight, giving great control over the balance between direct and ambient sound. The -10 dB and -20 dB pad switches extend the dynamic range for close-miking loud sources like heavy electric guitars, fortissimo brass and kick drums. Two low-cut filters, selectable at 80 Hz or 160 Hz, remove low-frequency rumble and footfall noise and help compensate for proximity-effect bass buildup on close-mic techniques.

Included in the box: the sE2300 microphone, an Isolation Pack (shockmount and pop filter), a thread adapter, an sE logo sticker, and a user manual with warranty card.
