What the Stick Shield actually does

The classic weak point of a drumstick is where it snaps during a rimshot, hitting the rim head-on. Vater has addressed this with the Stick Shield, a 3-inch section in the middle of the stick made from a material 8 times stronger than steel. No matter how hard you rim, the stick shouldn't break in that area.

Durable finish where it matters most
