The sE Electronics T2 is a matched pair of condenser microphones with a titanium-sputtered capsule, built to capture fast transients with exceptional accuracy. It shares the chassis and feature set of the acclaimed 4400a, combined with the specialised capsule from the original sE Titan, delivering full, balanced mid and low frequencies alongside a detailed, un-hyped high end.

The T2 sounds great on almost anything: vocals, guitars, toms, overheads, classical piano and strings. Its tonal versatility is hard to match, without the shortcomings often found in vintage mics.

The Titanium Diaphragm

The T2 features a hand-crafted titanium-sputtered capsule, considerably stiffer than sE's gold-sputtered capsules. This gives a quicker transient response, which matters when recording instruments with fast attack, such as drums and percussion, since the microphone maintains clarity and delivers accurate performance. The stiffness of the diaphragm also lets it withstand extremely high sound pressure levels, handling the loudest percussion with ease.

Custom Shockmount + Chassis

The flat, round-edged chassis and custom suspension mount let the microphone sit centred in the shock, be flipped around and used flat against a drum head or guitar cab, or angled outward and pushed inside a kick drum. At less than 3/4" thick, it fits neatly in the palm of your hand while being built to take a beating on the road.
