Product Description
A 19" crash cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet's X-Rubbish series, built for players who want a darker, quieter cymbal sound that doesn't overpower the rest of the kit. The tone has low overtones and a shorter sustain, with a punchy character in the highs and mids.
The X-Rubbish series is made for those who like to keep their cymbals a little quieter than their drums, or who like to mix things up with a darker, more controlled crash. The low overtones and shorter sustain give the cymbal a quicker decay after the initial hit compared to a classic, longer-ringing crash.
Sound Character
The tone is dark with low overtones. Despite the dark foundation, the cymbal has a punchy attack in the highs and mids, giving clarity to the stick attack without the tone becoming bright or harsh. The sustain is shorter than cymbals with longer ring, so the sound decays faster after the strike.
