Audix A131

Product Description

The Audix A131 is a large diaphragm condenser microphone with a 33 mm capsule, ideal for vocals, choir, piano, acoustic instruments and overheads. Its contemporary, compact design makes it a great choice for podcasting, professional audio production, studios and live stage performances.

• Large 33 mm condenser capsule
• Cardioid polar pattern
• Proprietary internal shock mount
• Low noise preamp circuitry
• Designed, machined and tested in the USA

Sound and Use

The large diaphragm capsule captures detail in vocals and acoustic instruments with excellent sensitivity, and works just as well as an overhead mic on a drum kit as it does in front of a piano or choir. The cardioid polar pattern focuses primarily on sound from the front, reducing bleed from other sources on stage or in the studio.

Construction

The internal shock mount is a proprietary Audix design that reduces the transfer of handling noise and mechanical vibration to the capsule. The preamp circuitry is built for low noise, giving a clean signal even from quieter sources. The microphone is designed, machined and tested in the USA.

Who It's For

The A131 suits anyone who needs a versatile large diaphragm microphone for vocals, choir, piano and acoustic instruments. And wants the same mic for drum overheads. A solid choice for the home studio, podcasting setup or a more demanding live rig.
