3A Vater Extended Play

Product Description

Vater Extended Play is a drumstick series built for players who break sticks more often than they'd like. After 14 months of development, Vater created a 3A wood tip stick that's protected against exactly the kind of wear and breakage that normally wears a stick out early.

The stick has two features that set it apart from standard hickory sticks. The upper section, from tip to shoulder, has a pearl-colored special coating that protects the surface from wear and cracking. In the middle of the stick, right where rimshots normally cause the most wear, sits a 3" long Stick Shield. A protective section made from a material Vater states is eight times stronger than steel. Vater guarantees against breakage specifically in the area protected by the Stick Shield.

Same feel, longer life

The back section of the stick has the same wood finish as other Vater sticks, and you get the same balance and feel as Vater's standard hickory models. Just with significantly higher durability.

Who it's for

A good choice if you play a lot of rimshots or simply want to stop replacing sticks unnecessarily.
