22" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Thin Crash crash cymbal in CuSn20 bronze. Warm, full retro tone since 1959.
Product Description
The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Thin Crash is a 22" crash cymbal from Paiste's classic Formula 602 series, made from CuSn20 (602-Bronze) bronze using the same recipe as when the series launched in 1959. It delivers a warm, full and controllable sound with a distinct retro character, equally suited to the studio and the stage.
Sound Character
The cymbal has a washy attack sound and a fairly lively intensity. An integrated bell adds extra clarity to the overall tone. Volume sits in the medium low to medium loud range, making it especially suitable for recording environments while still working well live. The sound is described as warm, full, precise and controllable, with clarity and a clear retro/vintage character combined with a sensitive, responsive feel.
Construction
The cymbal is hand-made by skilled Swiss cymbal makers from CuSn20 (602-Bronze) bronze and has a thin weight.
Who It's For
Suited to players of jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music who want a dynamic, classic cymbal for low to medium volume settings.
