22" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Ride from Paiste is a 22" ride cymbal from one of the most celebrated cymbal series ever made. It is hand-crafted by skilled Swiss cymbal makers using the same recipe as when the series launched in 1959, giving it a warm, full, precise tone with a distinct retro/vintage character.

The cymbal is cast in CuSn20 (602-Bronze) bronze and has a medium thickness, giving it a sensitive, responsive feel and strong dynamic control. The sound is warm, full and controllable with clear clarity, suited to low through medium volume playing.

Formula 602 Classic Sounds is especially well suited to recording environments but works equally well live, across genres such as jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.

Sound Character

• Fairly clear stick sound
• Long bell
• Fairly glassy intensity
• Fairly separated chick sound
• Volume: medium low to medium loud

Who It's For

A cymbal for players who want a sensitive, dynamic ride with a warm, full tone and a distinct vintage character. Particularly appreciated in the studio but equally usable live in acoustic and lower-to-medium volume settings.
