• Warm, full, precise and controllable sound
• Clarity combined with retro character and a sensitive, responsive feel
• Medium weight
• Long bell
• Suitable from low to medium volume

Sound Character

The cymbal has a fairly clear stick attack and fairly glassy intensity, with a long bell and a fairly separated foot chick sound. The tone is dynamic and sensitive, responding clearly to different playing dynamics.

Uses

The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Ride is especially suited for recording environments, but also works well live, across jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a ride cymbal with a warm, classic sound and wide dynamic range, rather than a modern, aggressive character.
