20" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Flatride Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The 20" Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Flatride is a hand-crafted ride cymbal from Paiste, made in Switzerland following the same recipe as the original series launched in 1959. The CuSn20 (602-Bronze) alloy gives it a warm, full and precise sound with a clear retro/vintage character. It's well suited for studio and live use across jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.

Sound Character

The sound is warm, full, precise and controllable, with clarity and a sensitive, responsive feel. The stick sound is soft, and the bell is very controlled, giving an organic intensity rather than an aggressive edge. The chick sound is described as medium-short.

Where It Shines

The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Flatride is built for very low to medium volume playing and works especially well in recording environments, but also live. It's an extremely dynamic cymbal suited for jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.

Construction

The cymbal is hand-crafted by skilled Swiss cymbal makers, following the same principles used when the series was launched in 1959. The alloy is CuSn20, also known as 602-Bronze.
