Product Description

The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Thin Crash is an 18" crash cymbal from Paiste, made from CuSn20 (602 bronze) alloy. It belongs to one of the most famous cymbal series in the world, hand-crafted by skilled Swiss cymbal makers according to the same principles as when the series launched in 1959.

• Warm, full and precise sound with clear definition
• Retro/vintage character combined with a sensitive, responsive feel
• Thin construction gives a washy attack sound
• Medium low to medium loud volume with a fairly lively intensity
• Integrated bell

Sound and Feel

The sound is warm, full and controllable, with a precision and clarity that has made this series a classic. The thin construction gives a washy attack sound and a sensitive, dynamic response, while the integrated bell adds extra character to the attack.

Applications

The cymbal works well at low to medium volumes and is particularly suited for recording, though it also performs well live. It is extremely dynamic and works well for jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.
