18" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Paperthin Cymbal
18" Paperthin cymbal by Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds. Warm, full retro tone with sensitive response.
Product Description
Formula 602 Classic Sounds Paperthin is an 18" cymbal from Paiste, made from CuSn20 (602 bronze) alloy following the same recipe as the original series launched in 1959. The cymbals are still hand-hammered by skilled Swiss cymbal makers, producing a warm, full and controllable sound with a clear retro/vintage character.
Sound and Feel
The tone is precise and easy to control, with clarity and a sensitive, responsive feel. The weight is extra thin (Paperthin), giving a washy attack sound and a fairly lively intensity at soft to medium loud volume.
Who It's For
This cymbal works especially well in a recording environment but is equally suited for live use, in genres such as jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music where dynamics and control matter more than raw volume.
