16" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Paperthin Cymbal
16" Formula 602 Classic Sounds Paperthin cymbal by Paiste. Warm, full retro tone for studio and stage.
Product Description
The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Paperthin is a 16" cymbal from Paiste with a warm, full and controllable tone in classic vintage character. It's one of the most renowned cymbal series ever made, especially well suited for recording, though it works well live too.
The cymbal is hand-crafted by skilled Swiss cymbalsmiths, made to the same principles as when the series launched in 1959. The alloy is CuSn20 (602-Bronze), and the extra thin (paperthin) construction gives a washy, airy attack with fairly lively intensity.
Sound Character
The tone is warm, full, precise and controllable, with a clear vintage character and a sensitive, responsive feel on the strike. Volume sits in the soft to medium loud range, making the cymbal highly dynamic to play.
Who It's For
A good choice if you play jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk or acoustic music and want a cymbal with a classic, delicate character rather than sheer volume or aggressive attack.
