Product Description
The X-Cast Crash Medium is a 15" crash cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet with a dark tone and low overtones, built for players who like to keep their cymbals a little quieter than their drums or want to mix things up in an otherwise brighter set. Despite the dark fundamental, the attack in the highs and mids stays punchy, with a lower sustain level than a more washy crash.
The lower sustain keeps the cymbal easy to control in the mix, while the punchy attack still gives clear definition on the stick. A good choice if you want to add some tonal variety to a set dominated by brighter, more resonant cymbals.
