14" Paiste Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Hi-Hats

Product Description

The Formula 602 Classic Sounds Medium Hi-Hat is a 14" hi-hat from Paiste, made from CuSn20 (602 bronze) alloy following the same principles as the original series from 1959. The cymbals are hand-hammered by skilled Swiss cymbal makers and work great in the studio as well as live, for jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic music.

Formula 602 Classic Sounds is one of the most well known and loved cymbal series of all time, praised for its fine, clean and delicate sound. The tone is warm, full, precise and controllable, with a clear, retro/vintage character combined with a sensitive, responsive feel.

Sound Character

This hi-hat has a medium to medium-strong stick sound with soft intensity, a lively bell and a medium chick sound when closed with the foot pedal. The bottom cymbal delivers medium volume, making the pair dynamic and easy to control from low to medium volume.

Construction

The alloy is CuSn20 (602 bronze), the same alloy used in the original series. The top cymbal has a medium thickness.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a hi-hat with warm, classic tone for recording or live playing in jazz, fusion, blues, pop, rock, country, folk and acoustic settings, especially at low to medium volume.
