Zildjian Zak Starkey Artist Series
Hickory drumsticks, Zak Starkey's Artist Series signature model, built for control and full dynamic range. Oval bead tip.
Product Description
The Zildjian Zak Starkey Artist Series is a signature hickory drumstick, developed with Zak Starkey, the drummer who has powered The Who for nearly 30 years. It features an oval bead tip for a wide range of expressive sounds, giving you both control and full-impact power in one stick.
Zak Starkey is best known for his long-standing role in The Who, but has also played with Oasis, Johnny Marr and the Healers, and The Lightning Seeds. The stick carries his signature along with the colorful pop-art "target" logo.
Sound and Feel
The oval bead tip produces a wide range of expressive sounds at all dynamic levels. With a medium taper, the stick balances control against power, making it equally suited to subtle playing and The Who's full-throttle rock sound.
Who It's For
A great choice if you want rock power without losing control, and like the idea of playing the same model Zak Starkey uses himself.
