22" Zildjian Kerope Medium Low Ride

Product Description

The Zildjian Kerope 22'' Medium Low Ride is a hand-hammered B20 bronze ride cymbal built to recapture the sound of a vintage K Zildjian. It delivers a warm, complex tone with clear stick attack that never gets overwhelmed by wash, and a rich, dark crash when pushed.

A tribute to Kerope Zildjian

The reimagined Kerope harkens back to its namesake, the intermediate stamp Turkish K's, with tones steeped in a sound born over half a century ago. Kerope cymbals bring a texture and complexity that carries the richness and warmth long sought after by players chasing the old "K" sound.

Craftsmanship

The degree of meticulous manufacturing dedicated to this series is unsurpassed. The entire bow is hammered into shape, undergoing over four times the hammering of a K Constantinople, reminiscent of old-world techniques used through the mid-20th century. A traditional deep pin lathe pattern boldens stick sound and favors brush work, combined with a unique waxing process and twice as many sound-testing passes, all critical to achieving Kerope's iconic qualities.

Sound and feel

• Lower-profile ride with more body, a strong, deep ride sound and very responsive stick feel
• The long sought-after Zildjian K sound
• Sits under the hands with unprecedented touch and control
• Warm, complex ride that gives dark textures and rich complexity when crashed
• Traditional deep pin lathe complements brush work

Each Kerope is unique in color, with the weight marked by hand on the underside of every cymbal. As tradition dictates, the bell bears the signature of the family member currently leading the company, Craigie Zildjian. The only cymbal in the catalog to carry her name.
