21" Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Ride - Natural/Brilliant

The Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Ride 21" was developed together with Akira Jimbo for maximum versatility in a single cymbal. The lathed outer surface in Traditional Finish delivers the classic, dark K Custom sound, while the unlathed inner half in Brilliant Finish provides a noticeably brighter and more cutting tone. The result is a ride with excellent crash qualities and a bell with strong projection.

Two surfaces, two different sounds

Playing the tip on the outer, lathed Traditional Finish surface gives a softer attack with a dark, warm sound and a pleasant wash. Moving to the unlathed Brilliant Finish inner surface produces a clearer attack, more top end, and a significantly more cutting character. This construction lets the cymbal stay relatively thin while retaining the projection of a heavier cymbal. At 21", it provides more projection and overtones than the existing 20" size.
