Zildjian 21" A Custom 20th Anniversary Ride

Product Description

The Zildjian A Custom 20th Anniversary Ride is a 21" ride cymbal created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the A Custom series. It's symmetrically hammered with a brilliant finish and a medium-thin weight that gives a balanced sound. The cymbal works in most musical settings and has a strong, penetrating bell that's especially useful for latin-style playing.

The A Custom series is based on the classic A cymbals but is made with a new hammering method that makes the cymbals thinner. The series was developed together with Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea), and the sound is tailored for modern rock and pop contexts. The tone is often described as "sweet". Not too dark and not too bright. And cuts through nicely in a band setting without overpowering the rest of the kit. All A Custom cymbals are delivered with a brilliant finish.

Anniversary Model

The 20th Anniversary Ride has all the A Custom series' characteristics: symmetrical hammering, brilliant finish and a medium-thin construction for a sound that's neither too high nor too low. The bell is strong and penetrating, making the cymbal especially useful in latin-style music. To mark the anniversary, the cymbal features a cream-white logo and a special anniversary stamp. The model was only available during 2012.

Who It's For

A solid all-round ride for drummers who want a cymbal that works in most musical settings, from rock and pop to latin-influenced music.
