The Zildjian K Constantinople Renaissance is a 20" ride cymbal that recreates the classic warm, slightly dark K sound from the era when K cymbals were still made in Turkey. The series was developed with input from, among others, Elvin Jones (Miles Davis, John Coltrane), one of the drummers who popularized this sound in the 1950s and 60s.
K Constantinople cymbals are made under extremely strict quality control, which means they are produced in smaller quantities than other Zildjian series. That makes each cymbal more of a handcrafted piece than a mass-produced item.
