A 19" crash cymbal from Zildjian's K Custom line, built for a dry, trashy sound with a fast attack. The Special Dry models extend the K Custom family, made through a three-step hammering process that gives an extra thin weight and a distinctive shape.

Sound and Feel

The extra thin to thin weight gives a fast attack that shuts down quickly, leaving just enough sustain. The sound is trashy and dark, and the raw top finish adds to the raw, unpolished character. The result is a distinctive, white-noise-like sound that projects through any live performance, making it a great choice for accents.

Construction

The cymbal goes through an innovative three-step hammering process, which together with its distinctive shape and extra thin weight gives the fast response and trashy character typical of the Special Dry range. K Custom cymbals follow the same basic principle as the original K series, but the process has been developed further to enhance the cymbals' dry character.
