Zildjian 18" A Uptown Ride

Product Description

The Zildjian A Uptown Ride is an 18" ride cymbal with a natural finish, smaller in size than a traditional ride and built for a controlled, dry sound with very pronounced stick definition. Its extensive hammering and unlathed top and bottom surfaces create a tightly defined, colorful sound with minimal overtones and sustain.

A Zildjian is the world's most widely used cymbal series, available in more variations than any other cymbal line and suited to most musical styles. Its character is crystal clear and full-bodied, and over the years it has become the benchmark other cymbals are measured against.

Sound and Feel

Thanks to the extensive hammering and unlathed surfaces, the cymbal has a dark, tightly defined sound with short sustain and minimal overtones. Stick definition is very pronounced, making it easy to play with precision at lower to medium volumes.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a ride with a dry, clearly defined character and control rather than long, washy sustain. Especially useful when you want every stick stroke to cut through clearly.
