The Zildjian A Custom Crash 18" delivers a fast, shimmering crash sound that cuts through nicely in a band mix without dominating the rest of the kit. Developed together with Vinnie Colaiuta, it's tailored for modern rock and pop settings and works as a versatile crash that's neither too dark nor too bright.
The A Custom series is based on the classic A cymbals, but is made using a new hammering process that makes the cymbals thinner. The sound is often described as "sweet" - balanced, not too dark and not too bright - letting the cymbal cut through in a band context without taking over. All A Custom cymbals are delivered in brilliant finish.
