Product Description
The Zildjian A Custom Crash 17" is a thinner, brighter crash cymbal built for modern rock and pop settings. It delivers a fast, shimmering crash sound with a short decay that cuts through the band without dominating it.
The A Custom series is based on the classic A cymbals but is made using a new hammering technique that makes the cymbals thinner than their predecessors. The series was developed together with drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea), and the sound is deliberately tailored for today's musical styles.
Sound
The sound is often described as "sweet" – neither too dark nor too bright. The 17" crash gives a quick attack and short, controlled sustain, making it easy to weave into a groove without it overpowering the rest of the kit.
