K Custom Special Dry 16" is a crash cymbal from Zildjian with a dark, dry sound and fast attack. The raw top surface gives the cymbal a trashy character.

Construction

The cymbal is made from 80/20 bronze alloy with a weight between Extra Thin and Thin. The underside is fully lathed while the top has a raw, natural surface. Zildjian uses an innovative three-step hammering process to shape the cymbal's character.

Sound

The attack is fast with plenty of dirt in the sound, and the tone shuts down quickly after the attack. Together with the raw top surface, this gives the cymbal a dark, trashy sound with dry overtones and short sustain.
