16" Zildjian A Custom EFX Effects Cymbal - Brilliant

Product Description

The Zildjian A Custom EFX 16" is an effects cymbal from the A Custom series, laser-cut for a fast, trashy sound. The cut-through holes give the cymbal a distinct, short and raw character that's perfect for sharp accents in rock and pop settings.

The A Custom series is based on the classic A cymbals but is made using a new hammering method that makes the cymbals thinner. The series was developed together with Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea), and the sound is tailored for modern rock and pop contexts. The base tone of the series is often described as "sweet". Not too dark and not too bright. Cutting through nicely in a band mix without overpowering the rest of the kit.

Effects Sound

The laser-cut holes give this EFX model a fast, trashy and distinct effects sound. That makes it well suited for short accents and markers rather than as a regular crash within a groove.

All A Custom cymbals are delivered in Brilliant finish, the polished surface standard for the series.
