14" Zildjian A New Beat - Traditional

Product Description

The New Beat is Zildjian's best-selling hi-hat model and a true classic in the A series. A 14" hi-hat with a smooth lathed and hammered surface that sounds fantastic closed, half-open or fully open. It responds instantly to openings and delivers a solid chick sound underfoot, making it a perfect all-purpose choice for stick and foot playing.

The original was developed with legendary drummer Louie Bellson, who wanted a hi-hat with the perfect balance between stick sound at all dynamics and a clear chick sound from the pedal. The result is the New Beat, with an incredible dynamic range depending on where and how you play it with the stick.

A Zildjian. A Classic Series

A Zildjian is a classic series shaped around the sound of the 1960s: bright, soft, dynamic and clear. These cymbals are fast and cut through the mix without becoming heavy or dark in body. A great choice if you want cymbals that do the job without taking over.

Zildjian. Genuine Turkish Cymbals Made In USA

Zildjian was founded in 1623 by the alchemist Avedis in Constantinople, who discovered a copper, tin and silver alloy with remarkable sound qualities while trying to make gold. The family business moved to Boston, USA in 1908, where Avedis worked closely with drummers such as Gene Krupa to help shape today's ride, crash, hi-hat and splash cymbals. Zildjian's secret B20 alloy and four centuries of craftsmanship remain the foundation of the cymbals.
