Zildjian 12" K Splash

Product Description

The Zildjian K Splash is a 12" splash cymbal from the K series, hammered using a unique process that gives it a dry, low pitch and a shimmering sound character. Depending on how you play it, the tone can turn intense or more mellow and full. A great choice if you want a splash with real character rather than a plain, short ping.

The K series has long been a favorite in jazz circles, but it also draws funk and rock drummers who want a splash that stands out a bit more in the mix. The dry, low pitch keeps it from disappearing into the mix the way a brighter, shorter splash sometimes does.

Sound Character

The unique hammering process gives the K Splash a shimmering tone that's a touch darker than many other splash cymbals of the same size. Play it lightly for a sharp, intense accent. Dig in a bit more and the sound opens up into a fuller, mellower character, giving you a way to shape dynamics within a groove.

Who It's For

Great for jazz, funk, and rock drummers who want a splash cymbal with more depth and personality than the brightest, shortest-sounding standard options.
