Yamaha SS6W

Product Description

The SS6W is a double-braced snare stand from Yamaha's 600 series with a step-free tilter, new basket rubber that lets the snare resonate more freely, and a new ergonomic basket adjustment knob. The height range is 45 to 60 cm.

• Step-free tilter for quick, precise angle setting
• New basket rubber (Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber) for freer resonance
• New basket adjustment knob with ergonomic grip and built-in metal washer
• Large rubber feet
• Refined wing nuts that reduce strain on the hands

Stepless angle adjustment

The tilter has no gear steps, so the basket angle can be set smoothly and precisely. You put the snare exactly where you like it instead of choosing the nearest notch.

More tone from the snare

The newly designed basket rubber has an air pocket between the rubber and the arm and flexes under impact, reducing the vibrations transferred from the drum to the stand and letting the shell resonate more freely. Yamaha's frequency analysis shows increased low-frequency sustain compared with previous stand models.

Details you notice every day

The basket adjustment knob has an ergonomic grip and a built-in metal washer, allowing smooth tightening with minimal effort. The large rubber feet give a firm grip on the floor, the leg base has a resin spacer for smooth, quiet movement, and the clamp base holds firmly without overtightening. The wing nuts have a refined shape that is easier on the hands.

Who It's For

For drummers who want a double-braced stand with stepless angle adjustment. The SS6W replaces the SS650WA in Yamaha's line-up.
