Yamaha RLS1455 Steel 14"x5,5"

Product Description

The Yamaha RLS1455 is a 14" x 5.5" snare drum with a 1.2 mm stainless steel shell. It delivers a crisp, open attack with fast response, making it a reliable steel snare for stage and studio use.

The stainless steel shell gives the snare a bright, clear tone with strong projection and a sharp attack that cuts through the mix without becoming harsh. The bearing edge is cut at 45 degrees, contributing to the drum's open character, and the center bead is oriented outward.

Heads and Snare Wires

The drum ships with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and a Remo Snare Side Ambassador resonant head, a classic combination that gives a warm yet articulate attack. The snare wires come in two configurations: the regular 20-strand set and a bundled SG-type set with 10 strands, letting you choose the tonal character that suits you.

Construction

The lugs are one-piece, providing a stable and reliable construction. The strainer features a DC3-type butt plate and a Q-type mechanism, both known for their reliability. The hoop is a 2.3 mm Dyna Hoop, and the snare bed is cut to 2.4 mm for secure, stable seating of the snare wires.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a modern steel snare with a sharp attack and dependable hardware, whether it's used in the rehearsal room, on stage, or in the studio.
