Yamaha Recording Custom Rock - Solid Black

Product Description

The shells are built in 100% birch with 6 plies of North American birch, and the kit gives a refined, focused sound with a rounder and deeper tone.

Construction

The shells have a 30 degree bearing edge, R1.5. The lug has been redesigned with a hi tension construction and made heavier to reinforce the lower frequencies. The toms and floor tom have Triple Flange Hoops in 1.6mm steel, while the bass drum has a wood hoop.

Sound

Every drum hit is well defined, which suits studio environments, and the bass drum has a nice fat sound. The snare drum works with many different tunings. The drums have a wide tuning range, respond well to different heads and are easy to tune. The tone is crisp and articulate with optimal sustain.

Function

The toms hang in the Y.E.S.S. System for tom mounting. The floor tom has an open type FT Bracket, and the bass drum has convertible type bass drum spurs. The kit is easy to use and feels familiar despite the new design, with the classic Recording Custom sound.

Included

The kit is delivered with Remo US Coated Ambassador batter heads and Remo US Clear Ambassador resonant heads. For the bass drum, a Remo Smooth White PS3 resonant head with Yamaha logo is included, and a Remo PS3 Coated batter head is also included. The kit suits all types of drumming in all situations.
