Yamaha Recording Custom Rock - Classic Walnut

Product Description

Yamaha Recording Custom Rock Set in Classic Walnut was developed together with Steve Gadd. The set is built in 6-ply North American birch and gives a refined, focused sound with a rounder, deeper tone.

Construction

The toms and floor tom have a 30 degree bearing edge with R1.5, and the shell is 6-ply birch painted dark brown on the inside. The bass drum has a wood hoop, and the toms and floor tom have Triple Flange Hoops in 1.6mm steel. The lugs are redesigned and heavier, in a one-piece construction for hi tension tuning.

Function

The toms are mounted using the Y.E.S.S. System, which lets the heads vibrate freely. The floor tom has an open-type mount, and the bass drum has convertible-type spurs.

Included

The toms and floor tom are fitted with Remo US Coated Ambassador as batter heads and Remo US Clear Ambassador as resonant heads. The bass drum has Remo PS3 Coated as batter head and Remo Smooth White PS3 with Yamaha logo as resonant head.

Sound and Feel

The bass drum gives a fat sound, while the toms and floor tom give a crisp, articulate tone with optimal sustain.
