Yamaha Recording Custom Jazz - Classic Walnut

Product Description

The Yamaha Recording Custom Jazz Set is a drum set in the Recording Custom series with the Classic Walnut finish, developed together with Steve Gadd. The shell is built in 100% birch 6-ply and comes in the sizes 10", 12", 14" and 18" bass drum.

Construction

The heavy lugs reduce unwanted noise from the shell without any need for dampening. The bass drum has a wood hoop, and a Triple Flange Hoop in 1.6mm steel is used as the rim around the heads. The floor tom has FT Bracket Open type, and the bass drum has BD Leg Convertible type.

Tuning

The toms are suspended using the Y.E.S.S. System. The shells have a wide tuning range and respond well to different heads, and the drum set is described as easy to use and easy to tune.

Sound

The sound is refined and focused, with a rounder and deeper tone, while at the same time being crisp and articulate with optimal sustain. The bass drum has a nice fat sound. The drum set suits all types of drumming in all situations.

Included In Delivery

The batter head is a Remo US Coated Ambassador and the resonant head is a Remo US Clear Ambassador. The bass drum comes fitted with a Remo Smooth White PS3 resonant head featuring the Yamaha logo, and the batter head is a Remo PS3 Coated, except on the 18" bass drum, which has a Remo Coated Ambassador.
