Yamaha Recording Custom Fusion - Real Wood

Product Description

Yamaha Recording Custom Fusion Set is built in 100% birch 6-ply with the Real Wood finish, in sizes 10", 12", 14" and 20" bass drum. The series is linked to Steve Gadd and gives a refined, focused sound with a rounder and deeper tone.

Construction

The hoops are steel 1.6mm Triple Flange Hoops, while the bass drum has wood hoops on both the batter and resonant sides. The toms are mounted using the Y.E.S.S. System, the floor tom bracket is of the open type and the bass drum spurs are of the convertible type. The newly designed heavy Hi-tension lugs are one-piece.

Heads

The toms come with Remo US Coated Ambassador batter heads and Remo US Clear Ambassador resonant heads. The bass drum has a Remo PS3 Coated batter head and a Remo Smooth White PS3 resonant head with the Yamaha logo.

Sound and Feel

The heavier lugs reinforce the lower frequencies and give a crisp and articulate tone. The sound is described as punchy and well-defined, with reduced unwanted ringing between the drums. The bass drum gives a fat sound. The set is easy to use and easy to tune, with a wide tuning range, and feels like a classic Recording Custom right out of the box.

Use

The set suits all types of drumming in all situations.
