Yamaha DTXM12

Product Description

The DTX-MULTI 12 is a versatile multipad from Yamaha with a total of 1277 sounds, including many drawn from the flagship MOTIF synthesizer. It's a great fit if you want to expand your drum kit or build a standalone percussion rig combining digital sounds, DJ effects and acoustic drum sounds in one unit.

• 1277 sounds: digital synth sounds, DJ sounds, percussion, chromatic percussion, folk sounds and acoustic drum sounds
• Import your own sounds as WAV or AIFF files from a USB drive
• 64 MB battery-backed Flash ROM for sample playback
• Reverb and chorus effects that can be applied to the whole kit, or used to refine individual sounds
• 128 complete MIDI play patterns, including three demo patterns in styles such as folk, rock and house

Playing and triggering patterns

Start and stop the built-in patterns by tapping the pads, or record your own patterns, or create them on a computer and play them back on the pads. The Tap Tempo function lets you set the tempo by tapping a pad, and you can also select songs by tapping the pads.

Four play modes

The DTX-MULTI 12 offers four ways to play: Stick Mode, optimized for playing with drumsticks, Hand Mode for playing with your hands, Finger Mode for playing with your fingers, and Mute Mode, which mutes or changes the sound when a hand is pressed against a pad.

Four sounds per pad

Each pad can be assigned up to four different sounds. In Stack Mode, all assigned sounds trigger simultaneously with a single tap, while Alternate Mode plays the sounds one at a time with each new tap.
