Construction

The shell is built as a hybrid construction of oak with a phenolic center ply, a combination that delivers the naturally massive sound of oak together with the tightness the phenolic ply adds. The seams are staggered and diagonal, built with the Air Seal system, giving the shell consistency, strength and a wide tuning range.

Sound and Feel

The Absolute single-post lugs are designed to maximize shell integrity, promoting maximum resonance and open tone. The hoop is a 2.3 mm DynaHoop, offering a tighter sound and better tuning stability. The result is a snare drum with crisp articulation, powerful rimshots and a deep, dark tone.

Finish and Hardware

The shell is finished with the traditional, Japanese uzukuri finish in Magma Sunburst, creating a unique look that defines the natural expression of oak. The hardware is dark chrome, for an aggressive look and a dominating stage presence.
