Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Oak LHS1455 - Earth Sunburst

Product Description

The Live Custom Hybrid Oak from Yamaha pairs the naturally massive sound of oak with a phenolic center ply. This hybrid shell construction delivers crisp articulation, powerful rimshots and a dark tone, built to take on the main stage.

• The Absolute single-post lug maximizes shell integrity and promotes maximum resonance and open tone
• The traditional, Japanese uzukuri finish creates a unique look that defines the expression of oak
• Staggered diagonal seams with Air Seal system construction for consistency, strength and wide tuning range
• 2.3 mm DynaHoop offers a tighter sound and tuning stability
• Dark chrome hardware creates an aggressive look for a dominating stage presence

Sound and Feel

The oak shell combined with the phenolic center ply produces a crisp attack with clear stick definition, while the low end stays dark and full. Rimshots hit harder thanks to the shell's density, and the open tone from the Absolute lugs lets the drum breathe despite its power.

Construction

The staggered diagonal seams and Air Seal system keep the shell consistently round and strong, giving a wide tuning range and reliable tuning stability over time. The 2.3 mm thick DynaHoop hoop contributes to a tighter, more controlled sound compared to thinner hoops.

Who It's For

A snare drum for players who want power and clarity on stage, with a look that stands out thanks to the Japanese uzukuri finish and dark chrome hardware.
