Yamaha Absolute Maple Hybrid Jazz Set is a drum set in the sizes 10", 12", 14" with 18" bass drum, in the colour Silver Sparkle. The set belongs to the Absolute Hybrid Series and has shells built in Maple-Wenge-Maple Hybrid with aluminium die-cast hoops.

Shell And Hoops

The shells are built in Maple-Wenge-Maple Hybrid with a thickness of 8.0mm on the bass drum and 6.2mm on toms and floor tom. The hoops are made in aluminium die-cast with a thickness of 3.0mm, giving a strong and tight sound with extraordinary attack and decay.

Heads

Toms and floor tom are fitted with Remo Clear Emperor batter heads and Remo Clear Ambassador resonant heads. The bass drum has a resonant head in Remo Smooth White PS3 with Yamaha logo. The batter head on the 18" bass drum is a Remo Coated Ambassador.

Technology

The set has YESS III tom holders, which reduce acoustic dampening, as well as a Low-Mass Tom Holder Base that gives freer vibration on the bass drum. Vent Hole is optimised for each shell's air volume, and Hook lugs give quick and easy head changes as well as precision tuning.

Sound and Feel

The set gives a rich and clear sound across the whole dynamic range, from pianissimo to fortissimo. The dynamic range is wide and responds to every touch.
