Shell and Finish

Hoops and Hardware

The hoops are cast in aluminium, Aluminum die-cast, 3.0mm thick. They contribute to a strong and tight sound with extraordinary attack and decay. The lugs are of the Hook lugs type, which gives quick and easy head changes along with precision tuning that handles high tension.

The tom and floor tom are fitted with REMO Clear Emperor batter heads and REMO Clear Ambassador resonant heads. The bass drum has a REMO Coated Ambassador batter head and a REMO Smooth White PS3 resonant head with Yamaha logo.

Sound and Feel

The kit gives a rich and clear tone across the whole dynamic range, from pianissimo to fortissimo. The dynamic range is wide and responds to every stroke, which means it follows dynamic changes in the playing.
