Yamaha Absolute Maple Hybrid Fusion - Silver Sparkle

Product Description

The Yamaha Absolute Maple Hybrid Fusion Set is built around a hybrid shell with a wenge core between layers of maple. The set comes in Silver Sparkle and consists of 10", 12", 14" toms with a 20" bass drum. Aluminium Die-cast hoops and Hook Lug tuning give precision in both sound and tuning.

Shell

The shell is built as a Hybrid Maple Shell with a core of wenge between layers of maple. The bass drum has a shell thickness of 8.0mm while the toms and floor tom have 6.2mm. The inside of the shell has a Vintage Natural finish, and each shell has a Vent Hole optimised for its own air volume.

Hoops And Lugs

The hoops are Aluminium Die-cast with a thickness of 3.0mm, which gives a strong, tight sound with powerful attack and decay. Tuning is done via Hook Lug lugs, a construction that makes head changes quick and easy while handling high tension and giving precision tuning.

Tom Holder And Bass Drum

The toms sit in a YESS III tom holder that reduces dampening and increases sustain. The bass drum uses a Low-Mass Tom Holder Base, which lets the shell vibrate more freely.

Heads And Sound

The set comes with a Remo Clear Emperor batter head and Remo Clear Ambassador resonant head on the toms and floor tom. The bass drum has a Remo PS3 Clear batter head and a Remo Smooth White PS3 resonant head with Yamaha logo. Together this gives a rich, clear tone across the whole dynamic range, from pianissimo to fortissimo, with a wide dynamic range that responds to every touch.
