The Xylo.Mallets S from ProMark is part of the Discovery Series/Future Pro line, designed for music education. The head is wound with 100% cotton cord, producing a defined, articulate tone on vibraphone. The handle is fiberglass with a rubber grip for secure handling.
ProMark's Future Pro series comes in several hardness grades depending on the desired tone: yarn-wound models (FPY) give a soft, full tone on xylophone, while rubber heads (FPR) provide maximum articulation on both xylophone and vibraphone. This model, FPC10, is cord-wound and delivers a soft articulation well suited for practice and teaching on vibraphone.
