The FPR30 is a rubber mallet from ProMark's Discovery Series (Future Pro), designed for music education and suited for xylophone and vibraphone. The handle is fiberglass with a rubber grip, and the rubber head delivers a hard, clearly articulated tone with strong projection on every stroke.
The Future Pro series comes in several hardness grades depending on the instrument and tone you're after. The FPY is yarn-wound and produces a soft, full tone on xylophone. The FPC is wound with 100% cotton thread and creates a defined, articulated tone on vibraphone.
