Part of the Big & Ugly Collection

The XSR Monarch belongs to SABIAN's Big & Ugly, a collection of unique ride cymbals spanning multiple SABIAN cymbal series. They're united by great complexity, versatility and a distinctive appearance. The cymbals in the collection are described as big, dark, loose and dynamic. But most importantly, huge fun to play.

Construction

The cymbal is cast from pure B20 Bronze, the same alloy used in SABIAN's Evolution and X-Plosion series, with manufacturing technology trickled down from those series into the XSR line. The medium thin weight gives it a straight-ahead, focused sound rather than a wash.
