West Coast Rock

Product Description

West Coast Rock is a MIDI pack for Toontrack's EZbass, built around the slick, radio-friendly rock sound that emerged from the American West Coast in the '70s. It delivers perfectly crafted bass grooves full of creative chord runs and twists, ideal for writing slick rock songs where the bass plays a key role.

The style was pioneered by acts like Toto, Christopher Cross, Foreigner and Journey, and has since been labeled yacht rock, soft rock, the West Coast Sound or simply AOR (adult-oriented rock). For this MIDI pack, Toontrack returned to its sibling pack for EZkeys and used it as a foundation to create the perfect complement for EZbass.

What's included

• EZbass MIDI inspired by AOR and West Coast style artists of the 1970s and 1980s
• 4/4 and 12/8 time signatures, in straight and/or swing feel
• Tempos ranging from 78 to 132 BPM
• Complete song sections: intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus and bridge

Who It's For

A solid choice if you're writing in EZbass and want a fully worked-out bass foundation for slick rock songwriting, rather than programming every groove idea from scratch.
