The Vic Firth X8D American Classic Extreme 8D is a lengthened take on the classic 8D model, adding an extra 1/2" for more reach and power across the kit. Turned from select hickory with a wood tear drop tip, it's built for drummers who find a standard 8D just slightly too short to comfortably reach everything.

The added length shifts the balance and feel compared to a regular 8D, giving you more leverage and a bit more power on your strokes, while the medium taper keeps the stick responsive. The wood tip is deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response, and hickory's dense, low-flex structure delivers a more pronounced sound while standing up well to hard playing.
