Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5B Vic Grip - Vic Grip

Product Description

Vic Firth X5BVG American Classic Extreme 5B Vic Grip is an extended 5B stick in hickory with a thin rubber Vic Grip coating on the grip area. The coating gives a firm, slip-resistant hold, ideal if you tend to lose grip on your stick or simply prefer the feel of a more direct grip.

Otherwise the model is identical to a standard American Classic Extreme 5B. The "Extreme" models within the American Classic series feature an extra 1/2" of length compared to the standard version, giving extra reach and power. Useful if you want a slightly longer stick to comfortably cover the whole kit.

Construction

The stick has a wood tear drop tip and a medium taper. The tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. Made from select hickory, a dense wood with little flex, giving a more pronounced sound and high durability against shock.
